"Erotic pictures and videos are widely assumed to induce differential response due to sexual duality," the researchers state.
"In particular, men are presumed to respond more strongly to visual sexual stimuli than women."

Hamid Noori, research group leader in the Department of Physiology of Cognitive Processes at the Max Planck Institute, states that
"This result challenges not only some of the previous studies but also the common public perception that men respond stronger to porn or even like sex more than women"
